Alpujarra Angle

Hi, all, and welcome to the November Edition of Alpujarra Angle! As you may have noticed, winter is approaching our corner of the world, although nobody would have guessed it, judging by these abnormally high temperatures. Even so, half of the people I know have already gone down with a cold! Me too! I now realised I wasn’t as ready for the mountain chill as I thought!
In this issue you can see a few pictures our Ed. took last month at the Fiestas de Órgiva. Can you see anyone familiar?
Have you been to Lanjarón lately? If you have, you will have seen that the main street has been dug up, leaving narrow walkways for the pedestrians to make their way along, desperate not to fall in the holes. Let’s hope that it is all finished soon, before the rains start, otherwise those that are visiting the town to try out the thermal waters will get a free mud bath if they put a foot in the wrong place. Well, it’s supposed to be good for your skin, isn’t it? Anyway, I will see if I can speak with the relevant councillor to find out more.
Oh, and if you have any interesting Halloween photos, send them in to me at Alpujarra@seasidegazette.es and we will try to publish some of them.
