News Review

I think that just about covers the news (or lack of it) for this month. Readers of the Spanish press could argue that there is more to say on the subject of the new paseo and the lost nine million euros worth of investment in the project that is now consigned to the scrapheap for the foreseeable future… The problem with the story is that it truly is a no win subject, with so many people not wanting any change to the existing paseo, others just wanting what we have ‘tidied up’ a bit and others thinking that we have completely missed the boat and should have gone for the ‘full monty’.
Well the politicians are all at each other’s throats over the matter, with some rather nasty mud being slung in all directions, and even some publications using very strong words on the matter.
The other snippet I would like to look into more is talk of the newly opened A7 possibly being a flood threat to the village, as the construction has left just one possible drain off channel down into village. If I can find just a little bit of spare time, I’m hoping to get some time with a ‘man in the know’ on these matters, so watch this space…
