So there I was camera in hand, standing at the bar in Jeannot’s. “Go on, take a few photo’s” says Pepe. And despite my slightly inebriated state, I managed to get a few shots of staff and customers, which the Ed has very kindly allowed me to use as a photo page, and of course if you are reading this online, we will upload the photos to the ‘gallery’ section. That’s two bars in two months that have had the photo page treatment… who’s up for a few photos in the December edition?
The photos include Pepe, Sonia, Raúl and several unsuspecting customers. It was great fun, and as always Pepe and his team put out the finest tapas with every drink, so my ‘job’ was far from being a chore!
It is a testament to this extremely popular bar that in just 30 minutes I heard six languages spoken around me.
I just had to pop in twice over a weekend to get enough shots, and at times it’s two or three deep at the bar, with tasty tapas and meals coming out of the kitchen at a fantastic rate… I could sit on that terrace for hours watching the world go by, or by a huge barrel in the bar watching Pepe make some of the locals roar with laughter.
If it’s not one of your regular stops, give it a go, Raúl speaks very good English and the food is top notch!
