The Motril Town Hall says that it has found the formula to accelerate the bureaucratic process for a large shopping centre, on the scale of Vélez-Malaga’s Centro Comercial Ingenio, which will one day be built on the Cortijo de Conde site. But even so, we’re talking about 2014/2015.

A commercial centre to rival Málaga’s Centro Comercial, El Ingenio has been on the cards for a while, but now it finally looks like it is going to happen. The location will be just across the road from Al Campo, where the road works have been taking place – you know; the eastern entrance into Al Campo, on the roundabout.

Three different companies have expressed interest in building the Cortijo del Conde leisure & shopping centre. The proposed installations would be along the lines of Málaga province’s Ingenio, which attracts thousands of shoppers from over the border in Granada.
