La Ventura

The Ed treated his good lady and me to a bite to eat in La Ventura last week, and very nice it was too! While we were there we took possession of their proposed menu for New Year’s Eve:

Restaurant Asador El Quebracho

At last this well kept secret is out of the bag and the Asador El Quebracho, with its Argentinian meat specialities, is well on the map in Motril. Opened in December 2003 to the delight of those living in the town, Esteban Arturo Giunti has created a restaurant with a great ambience, delicious food and sumptuous wines from Spain and Argentina.

Ventura on Hols

El Restaurante Ventura will be on a deserved break from the 15th to the 21st of the month, meaning that they will be open again for business on that Saturday.

Meson Magic

The Meson in the town hall square in Almuñécar is just great. If you haven’t tried one of their brochetas, you haven’t lived! I didn’t realise that they even made metal spikes that long, except for fighting, and that you could fit so much tasty food onto just one! Don’t go thinking I’m talking about a simple pinchito here.

Mirador Hot Stones

It is, in fact, a return to the delicious Hot Stone meals, where you are served with a large and very hot stone (hence the name maybe?), upon which you can place all manner of fresh meat and fish, allowing it to cook to perfection before your very eyes!
