Father’s Day Laureles

Sunday June 20th is Father’s Day, and to celebrate, Mark is creating a five course menu for just €15!
So don’t let the old fella down by missing out this year, book early and make this Father’s Day a special one for the dad in your life.
You can also catch the Los Laureles team at the Feria Gastronomica where you can sample some of the fantastic dishes available in this special Almuñécar restaurant. They will be at their stall daily on 11th, 12th and 13th June.

Great Gallinero

Driving out of La Herradura on the N-340 towards Cerro Gordo, I realised I hadn’t been for a meal in the fantastic Gallinero for quite a few months! A colleague of mine has been recently and took her family along, reporting back the food was as good as ever, with chicken dishes to suit every taste.

Zarcillo

All you lovers of good food and fine wines are in for a special treat with this place. Situated on the Paseo de la Esplanada in Motril, Álvaro and Manuel have managed to marry tradition and modernity to create a spectacular restaurant.

Los Laureles Spring

Well, the clocks have gone forward, so it must be officially Spring at last, and as we dare to put all thoughts of that rain behind us, we can now look forward to the fantastic new Spring Menu at Los Laureles.

El Faro Update

If you haven’t yet tried Restaurante En Primera Linea in La Herradura, then you really should give it a go! They make it so very easy to choose, with several choices of menu and price.

La Yerba Buena

Almuñécar’s Restaurante La Yerba Buena is providing live music entertainment, as well as a wholesome 10-euro menu del día, comprising of 3 choices for both courses. Coffee, one drink and IVA included.

Restaurant Reina Sofía

Well with Valentine’s Day approaching and no mention of a romantic meal out from my husband, I was delighted to accept a very generous gift from a friend, for my husband and me to sample the wonderful delights at the Restaurant Reina Sofia.
The restaurant, which is easy to find, heading towards Velilla on the Paseo de Reina Sofía, is tastefully decorated and boasts a warm and friendly atmosphere.

La Tartana

Well this month I had the pleasure of meeting Penny, one of the owners of La Tartana, who gave me a brief overview of the history of the attractive hotel, bar and restaurant. Clearly the place has had an interesting past!

Chiringuito La Bahía

(MO) Situated across from the picturesque El Peñon (the rocky point which divides the two beaches in Salobreña), you will find Chringuito La Bahia. Here you can feast on a spectacular menu while enjoying the breathtaking view of the sea and beaches. La Bahia has an amazing assortment of fresh fish to choose from daily – look for the day catch displayed, chilling on ice, in the quaint little boat inside the restaurant.
