Tree Planting on Cerro Gordo

Pupils and members of the parents association for IES Al Andalus went on a tree-planting expedition on Cerro Gordo, La Herradura. All told, around a hundred Spanish oaks, pines and carob trees were planted.
New La Herradura Classroom

The school parents association (AMPA) and the Head of the junior school, Las Gaviotas, begun a new school year with an extra multi-purpose classroom, which has been built by the Town Hall down the side of the school playground.
School Failure Too High

Eight out of every ten pupils in Motril fail their end-of term-exams. A study carried out by the Asociaciones de Padres y Madres de Alumnos found that only 16% of pupils pass these exams, which means that things are just as grim as the 2008/2009 school year.
