Listeriosis Warning

The Junta de Andalucía has issued a contaminated food alert after Listeria monocytogenes  was detected in a specific lot of fuet ibérico made by Cárnicas Sierra Nevada in Cájar (Granada).

Fingers Crossed!

The roadworks on the A-348, Alpujarra access road should be completed by the end of the year, which will be a relief for all who use the road on a daily basis.

If you have travelled along the road that links the A-44 to Lanjarón, you couldn’t have helped seeing the massive amounts of earth moving and construction going on, despite all the rain during winter.

The Junta’s Minister of Public Works, Rocío Díaz, visited the construction work on the first phase of the new access road to the Alpujarra towards the end of last month.

Today will be the first Saturday on the A-44 with the Rules Bridge out of use and traffic diverted or on the A-348 (Lanjarón/Órgiva road) or the old N-323a – so far so good, you may think.

Weather: 10th to 14th

Well, we haven’t published one of these for a while, but it seems that autumn weather is knocking at the door with maximums in the high 20s on the coast and low 30s inland.
