It was was only last Spring that an experienced climber of Anglo-Spanish nationality lost his life in an avalanche in the Sierra Nevada. Five policemen are in the process of being tried in Mijas, charged with drug trafficking. These members of the Policia Local intercepted 170 kilos of hashish, but instead of turning the confiscated drugs over, they allegedly loaded them into patrol cars, took them to a private address and set about selling them.
