
On the 22nd of last month Motril’s main thoroughfare, Avenida de Salobreña, had to be closed to traffic because of a bee swarm squatting in a palm tree.
The Guardia Civil had to call in the assistance of a beekeeper after a broken-down lorry was found to contain a swarm of bees in the back.
