Japan and Subtropical Fruit

A Japanese film crew have been in La Herradura for a documentary on subtropical fruit in Spain. They have been visiting Finca San Ramón. and filming chirimoya, mango, guayaba, avocado, carambola and papaya plantations

Calls for Town Hall Intervention

33rd Annual Festival Internacional de Jazz de Granada, the most important in Andalucía and one of the oldest in Europe will be held at the Teatro Municipal Isabel la Católica in Granada, from the 8th to the 18th of November.

Clubs’ Day Postponed

The annual Dia de las Asociaciones for Almuñécar and La Herradura has already been put off twice, owing to rainfall, so it has been decided that it will now be held May 2013. The event was originally planned for Saturday the 20th of October, and then put back one week until the 27th (today), which has been cancelled as well.

It’s Wet

Friday had seen by midday 50 litres per square metre – hardly surprising as it belted down between 04.30h and 07.30h and hasn’t stopped raining since then.
