33rd Annual Festival Internacional de Jazz de Granada, the most important in Andalucía and one of the oldest in Europe will be held at the Teatro Municipal Isabel la Católica in Granada, between the 8th and the 18th of November.
Miles Smiles opens the festival on the 8th, followed by the Italian trumpet player, Paolo Fresu and Cuban pianist Omar Sosa perform on the 9th. Then on the 10th is the turn of Jorge Pardo, followed on the 11th by trumpet player and band leader and compositor, Roy Hargrove.
The next concert is not until the 17th when Vijay Iyer, who was voted Best Musician of the Year 2012 by the US jazz critics association. Finally, the festival is closed by Paquito D’ Rivera.
