Mesón Mari & Miguel, which is located on Almuñécar’s main thoroughfare, Avenida de Andalucía, has an amazingly cheap Menu del Día at only eight euros (€8). I mean, a group of ten people could go out for lunch and the combined bill would only be 80 euros!

A Sigh of Relief

The fiesta was a stunning success, if you gauge it by the amount of people that turned up – the new paseo was literally a river of people. Even the most cynical amongst us couldn’t claim otherwise.

Embellished Beaches

If you walk out to the furthest reaches of the Puerta del Mar beach – in front of the Eroski supermarket – you will have to cover 200 metres before reaching the water. This extensive area of beach is thanks to the parallel breakwater, and in only a few years!

Bicycle Lane vs Parking

The local PP are asking the ruling party not to go ahead with the bicycle lane along the Velilla road between the new underground car park and El Tesorillo.

Riding School Controversy

The PSOE have heavily criticised the Mayor’s party for the state of abandon that the municipal picadero (riding stables) finds itself in. This stable-cum-riding school is located in Taramay, just behind the closed down Hotel Taramay.
