Five of the six municipal kindergartens have been handed over to private companies to run. This move will affect ten classrooms and 161 kiddies.
The name of the private company is Al Alba, who received 271.917 euros from the Town Hall, who in return receive that amount from the Junta de Andalucía for that end.
The kindergartens affect are the following: La Herradura, Los Marinos, La Carrera, Torrecuevas and the new one that has just been opened in San Miguel, called Escuela Infantil Al Ándalus.
The combined staff comprises of teachers, educators and monitors, although in most centres that is only a teacher and a monitor to look after on average 15 kiddies from between 4-months old and 3-years old.
