Dear sir,
I was in Almunecar in Sept. For a short holiday and picked up your excellent paper. I was very interested in the article on page 52 regarding parking costs.

My wife and I have spent many happy holidays in Almunecar,in fact every year since 1986, until a couple of years ago. We had a apartment at Velilla and our last visit was a three week spell viewing a massive excavation taking place outside our window.

We were lucky enough to be able to sell and had not been to the area since,until this year. We were appalled at the extent of the “pay to park” schemes, I have never in my worldly travels seen such a concentration of paying to park, I can not imagine what it would be like in summer.

This was a place we have loved and enjoyed for so many years but will certainly never again visit.
