Pay Day!

One-hundred, and eighty tradesmen and suppliers have finally had their outstanding bills settled by the Almuñécar Town Hall; 1,300 bills totally some 17 million euros dating from between 2001 and 2011.

Thank God For Neighbours

A resident in the Matagallares area of Salobreña was suspicious of a young couple that were taking ‘too much interest’ in his neighbour’s cortijo, so he phone him. Alerted, the owner phoned the Guardia Civil at 23.30h to say that he was on his way out to his cortijo and that it would be jolly nice if they pop round, too.

Casas de los Mineros, Nerja

The Coucillor-Delegate for the Environment, Nieves Atencia, has announced the winner for the job bid on the restoration of the Casas de los Mineros, which is situated in the Fuente del Esparto area.

Express Kidnapping in Motril

The Policía Nacional have arrested a 19-year-old lad for his alleged involvement in an “express kidnapping;” which is holding someone for relatively small amounts of money, with the victim being released within hours or a couple of days maximum.

Almuñécar Bank Robbers Rumbled

The Guardia Civil has managed to identify the two suspects from the bank robbery that was carried out in Almuñécar on the 19th of April. One of the suspects, a 24-year-old from Málaga, has already been arrested.
