Asian Seaweed Menace

Towns along the Costa Tropical, Salobreña amongst them, have requested assistance from the Provincial Council to deal with the extra cost of removing Asian seaweed from their beaches.

The new bylaw regulating the Municipal Registry of Derelict Buildings and Undeveloped Building Plots was approved in a Plenary Meeting of the Town Council yesterday.

Strong Earth Tremor

There was a sizeable earth tremor off the coast of Almeria (5.5 degrees of magnitude) which was felt in Almería, Granada, Málaga and Jaén, as well as outside Andalucia in Murcia, Alicante and Albacete.

Try not to Drown in Salobreña

Blue Flag Beaches

A total of thirteen beaches along the Costa Tropical have been awarded the Blue-Flag Award by the Asociación de Educación Ambiental y del Consumidor.
