It has to be said, there is a distinct lack of news in the La Herradura area for this issue. It doesn’t help of course, that I am now languishing in Almuñécar, and therefore not getting all the little snippets that I used to obtain on a nearly daily basis.

San Nicolás Roadworks

The residents of Urbanization San Nicolas are suffering with the ongoing road works, which at times may lead to your finding the normal entrance to San Nicolas off the N-340 completely closed.

Gaviotas and Serbia

Back on the 5th of June, representatives from Las Gaviotas School met at the Civic Centre with a group of representatives from the Teachers Association of Leskovac (Serbia).

Bye Bye Blue!

The Blue Zone; ah, yes. We reported last month that our Honorable Mayor had decided to postpone this regulation, in the face of opposition from businesses based around La Playa. The original idea was to impose parking fees for anybody not displaying a ‘Resident’ sticker inside their windshield.

Road Cleared!

It took two months to sort out, but at last traffic started to move between Punta de la Mona and La Herradura along the beach road. Shortly after 11am one morning the barriers were removed and traffic, once again, started to flow on this important local route connecting the Punta to the main village.
