More than 130 scientists from 28 different countries gathered in La Herradura to participate in an international conference on Physics.

Now, no doubt my mate John Trainin, might have a clue what it was about, but for me at least, the title of the conference wasn’t much of a giveaway: The latest advances in the study of the fundamentals of Statistic Physics of Phenomenon out of Equilibrium.

But the main thing is not whether they had fun at whatever it was that they were discussing, bless them, but that the village was chosen as the venue for such a conference – and it will probably be the first of many.
