Probably the most famous circus in the world can be seen in city of Granada from the 29th of September to the 3rd of October… We’re talking about the Canandian Cirque Du Soleil. You had better hurry, because all entrance tickets are already nearly all sold out! (Only 200 are left at the time of writing).
The circus show, entitled Saltimbanco, has been adapted to the indoor venue of the Palacio de Deportes and will have performances at the following times:
29th & 30th September: 21.30h
1st & 2nd October: 17.30h and at 21.30h
3rd October: 17.30h
Fitting in all the apparatus etc for the show has used up a certain amount of seating for the audience, but even so there are still 4,200 seats available per performance. This is amazing as the Saltimbano has 50 artistes, 2,500 tonnes of equipment and 2,000 costumes…
To quote from their website, which you will find here (link):
Saltimbanco – from the Italian ‘saltare in banco,’ which literally means “to jump on a bench”- explores the urban experience in all its myriad forms: the people who live there, their idiosyncrasies and likenesses, families and groups, the hustle and bustle of the street and the towering heights of skyscrapers. Between whirlwind and lull, prowess and poetry, Saltimbanco takes spectators on an allegorical and acrobatic journey into the heart of the city.
