John, Pedals and Compostela

I think that the best way to introduce this mammoth effort, which is about to be undertaken by John Allan, is to quote from his own blog:

In March of this year, I made it to age 70. Inspite of 17 yrs in the regular army and many, many more flying helicopters for the offshore oil industry I got there with all my limbs still intact and a functioning brain. I look at those young soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan with irreparable damage to mind and body as a result of their selfless service on our behalf. I shall be better able to cycle the 1000 or so kilometres to Santiago de Compostela if I know that you are contributing to Help4Heroes which is dedicated to their care and welfare. Please help them now. We owe them so much. J

John intentds to cycle from Sevilla to Compostela to raise funds for the Help4Heroes campaign. You can back his personal campaign by clicking on this link and donating to this worthy cause. Give whatever you can; be it 10 euros or 100 – every little bit counts to reach his set goal of 3,000 Pounds Sterling.
