Every year La Herradura holds a photographic competition entitled, Mi Pequeño Paraíso – Nino Rodríguez, which name implies are snaps taken around the village.

This year, the XII Premio de Fotografía attracted the works of 17 photographers, which indicates that the yearly competition is attracting more competitors, considers Mayor Juan José Ruiz Joya.
Mayor Ruiz Joya thanked David Carbonell (Yes, from the family that runs the business under that name) for providing a replica of the World Cup Trophy.
The competition, by the way, is in homage to the Herradureño photographer, Nino Rodríguez, who was a great fan of football.
Anyway, trophies were awarded with the 1st Prize which came with 700 euros and a diploma, went to Víctor Raúl Calvo Núñez.
The 2nd Prize came with 200 euros and a diploma, which was awarded to Sara García Triguero, whilst the 3rd Prize, worth 100 euros and a diploma went to María Dolores Quintana Rodríguez.
Those interested can visit the photo exhibition in the Centro Cívico de La Herradura until the 20th of this month.
