Almuñécar Councillor for Beaches, Lucía González, announced the summer cultural programme, Noches en Azul, which is evening entertainment on the beaches of Almuñécar and La Herradura.

These evening will be a mixture of live music and open-air cinema throughout this month and August, having started yesterday on La Herradura’s beach next to the lifeguard hut.

Councillor González explained how popular last summer’s Night in Blue were and holds high hopes that it will be equally so this year. She also explained that there are four concerts and five outdoor film sessions

Anyway, here is the agenda (Note: Music nights on Tuesdays and film nights on Thursday)

• July 21st: Performance by Green River on La Herradura beach, next to the lifeguard station, at 22.00h.
• July 28th: Concert by Arousa Group on Playa Puerta del Mar, Almuñécar, at 22.00h.
• August 4th: Performance by EW&P Soul Disco Chill on Playa Velilla, next to the Chiringuito La Corrala at 22.00h.
• August 18th: Concert by Lumbre Mestiza on Playa San Cristóbal at 21:30h

Film Nights

• July 9th: Screening of Stuart Little on La Herradura beach, next to the lifeguard station, at 22.00h..
• July 23rd: Screening of Aliens in the Attic (Pequeños invasores) on Playa Puerta del Mar, Almuñécar, at 22.00h.
• July 30th: Screening of The Water Horse (Mi monstruo y yo) on Playa Velilla, next to the Chiringuito La Corrala at 22.00h.
• August 6th: Screening of Flushed Away (Ratónpolis) on Playa El Pozuelo, Taramay, at 22.00h
• August 20th: Screening of Rise of the Guardians (Origen de los guardianes) on Paseo de San Cristóbal, at 21:30h.
