A 26-year-old woman died Saturday evening after the flag she had tied around her neck, like a cape, caught in the wheel of the motorbike that she was riding as a passenger.

This occurred around 23.00h in Algeciras (Cádiz) on the road between Getares and Algeciras, according to the emergency coordination centre, 112.

They despatched an ambulance, the Policía Local and the Guardia Civil. The police arrived first and found her in an unconscious state smf attempts to bring her around using CPR and a portable defibrillator failed.

Then the ambulance arrived and continued with the CPR while rushing her to the A&E at the Hospital Punta Europa. However, she was declared dead on arrival.

Her husband, who had been riding the motorbike, was breathalysed, which gave a completely negative reading; i.e., he had consumed zero alcohol.
