A brush fire broke out in Motril last Saturday which required the intervention of the forestry-fire service, Infoca

The area was above the old HQ of the EVA-9 (Escuadrón de Vigilancia Aérea nº 9) which is covered by brush mostly, as it is abandoned farmland with plastic greenhouses nearby.

Infoca used both air assets (helicopters) as well as ground ones, such as a fire truck and firefighters on foot.

The fire was declared extinguished that same day.
