If you drive along the road that connect Molvizar to the main Granada road, going under the bridge where the A-7 overpass is, you will see them busy at work on the Rules pipeline.
The good news is that 90% of the first phase is complete and if work continues accordingly, should conclude in June… yes, June this year…

This first phase will connect El Embalse de Rules to the Palmares water-treatment plant, using a double pipeline over 16-kilometres, connecting up to existing pipes beneath the A-346 bridge (Órgiva – Vélez de Benaudalla).
This pipeline will mainly supply drinking water (hence the treatment plant) some will also be used for irrigation. In fact, around 700 hectares of irrigated land will get water. The irrigation of these fields and terraced land have their water handled by the irrigation collectives, Nuestra Señora Virgen del Rosario and Santa Ana.
