The Ministry of Transport announced that it is continuing improvement work on the A-7 tunnels within the province of Granada.
The affected tunnels are: Fuentecilla, Carchuna, Ítrabo, Cantalobos, and Marchante.
The work has a budget of nearly 13 million, which comes from European funding (Recovery, Transformation & Resilience Plan (PRTR).
Work will be carried out in the Ítrabo and Cantalobos tunnels in the coming days and will have the following traffic disruptions:
- From 12:00h yesterday until 13:00h on Friday the 20th. There will be alternating lane closures in each direction of the Ítrabo tunnel between kilometre point 906 and 909.
- From 12:00h on Monday the 23rd until 13.00h on Friday the 27th. There will be alternating lane closures in each direction of the Cantalobos Tunnel (between kilometre point 914 and 917.
In both cases, only one lane will be closed at a time, allowing vehicles to continue through the tunnel on the other lane at a speed of 60 km/h.
