At the latest Ordinary Plenary Session of Motril Town Council, held at the end of last month, the detailed study of a Hotel-Golf Club was approved.
This deals with a complex of more than 12,000 sq/m on which around 160 rooms, which is not to be sniffed at.

The Mayor of Motril, Luisa García Chamorro, praised her own administration’s achievements in developing the hotel sector for the town, pointing out two other projects underway:
The Rural Hotel in Minasierra and the enlargement of Hotel Impressive on Playa Granada, as well as projects in front of the Tourist Office.
Bear in mind that this was only the approval of a study of a proposed hotel on Polygon 2, sector PL-3, rather than a building licence. The developers are Hoteles Victoria (in Almuñécar there are two).
There is also a hotel plot purchased from the Town Council by developers Molina Olea, which can be found at the end of Calle Rector Federico Mayor Zaragoza.

Don’t go into the sea . Not just big sharks. But effluent from somewhere. Escaping from some pipes. Not really put in properly years ago. Now tourist booms and the system that couldn’t cope before is now never coping. Thank the gods sea water helps to kill the bacteria. Sort of. Do breast stroke. Do not swallow. Yuk.
