A man working on a pig farm in Nigüelas died on Friday the 13th when a wall fell on top of him.

The emergency coordination centre, 112 was alerted at 15.09h to the presence of a man lying unconscious next to a collaped wall in the Lomo Manteca area of that municipality.

The Guardia Civil and an amublance from the 061 Ambulance Service were sent to the scene. However, there was nothing that could be done for the 40-year-old victim.

The incident will be investigated by Work Inspectors, which is the case in all work-place accidents.
