Electrocuted in A Spa?

A client at a hotel spa in Granada has been admitted to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after possibly receiving an electrical discharge.

The 30-year-old woman immediately went into cardiac arrest yesterday at this establishment on Calle Antón.

Another hotel guest had called the emergency coordination centre on 112 to say that she had come across a woman lying unconscious in the spa area. The centre alerted the 061 ambulance service and the victim was rushed to Hospital Virgen de las Nieves in the city.

It has not been confirmed that an electrical discharge caused her to enter cardiac arrest so the Policía Nacional are still investigating.

The hotel in question, however, said that the woman had suffered a “fainting spell for unknown reasons” and that they themselves had alerted the ambulance service (061), who had taken her “in a conscious state to the hospital for further observation.”
