Almuñécar Town Hall, through its Social Services Department plans to take pensioners over 55 years of age to the Balneario de Trillo (Guadalajara) and leave them there. OK, that’s a lie.
The most visited area in the Alpujarra, Lanjarón, has debuted a new footpath starting from the health spa and ending, a kilometre later, at the Arabic fortress.
Lanjarón is to have its first 4-star hotel built within the Spa (Balneario). According to the building developer behind it, the 120-room complex should be open for the second half of 2011.
The Spas in Lanjarón are going to extend their offers to attract more clients. Thanks to the deep-pocketed Junta de Andalucía, also known as the Santa from Sevilla, 6m euros will be granted, bringing the total investment up to 11m euros.
