Gualchos/Castell de Ferro Town Council approved its Municipal Budget for 2026 of almost 7-million euros. That's an increase of nearly 800,000 euros on the 2025 budget.
Mayor Toñi Antequera considers that this “demonstrate solvency, normalcy, good work, and serious and efficient management,” adding that it was presented on time, through dialogue, consensus, and by listening to both political groups and residents.”
So, where is the dosh going to be spent? The largest wodge corresponds to the second phase of the new Municipal Sports Pavilion, which will receive €888,700. Another €170,824 will go on the square next to the Pavilion, improving access for example
The next largest outgoing, €75,000, is for land in Gualchos, where a municipal swimming pool will one day be built, at €75,000.
Finally, €80,000 will be allocated for the replacement of underground, rubbish containers and €30,000 for children’s playgrounds.
