Just a quick explanation for non-native English speakers, 'badun' is a slang abbreviation of 'bad one' (bad individual).
In the early hours of Thursday, two individuals attempted to raid a gasolinera on the A-92 autovía (which runs past Granada) but the staff managed to press the alarm and alert the police.

The police arrived just as two cars were leaving, so they gave chase. One of the pursued cars stopped and the driver sprang out and attempted to flee. However, it was very dark and the individual didn’t know the area and ended up falling down a very steep barranco near the entrance junction for Alfacar.
The officers saw him disappear down the drop and climbed down to rescue him but when they reached him they saw that he was dead (probably an obviously broken neck).
They called the accident into the Emergency Call Centre, 112, requesting the help of the Granada fire service in order to recover the body.
Upon checking his car, they saw that it had been stolen in order to carry out the assault on the service station. The victim was carrying nothing to identify him so the police are trying to do precisely that in order to inform his family.
Later, the second car was found abandoned, which had also been stolen.
