A man in Motril has been remanded in custody after allegedly killing his wife. A gagging order has been placed on the case.

However, we do know that the incident took place during Sunday morning and that the victim did not die at the scene but later in Hospital de Neurotraumatología in Granada, barely hours after arrival.

The autopsy report shows that the woman received several blows that proved to be fatal.

The alleged assailant had a court order out on him forbidding him from approaching the woman, but it turns out that she had gone back to living with him at his home.

He was initially arrested by the Policía Nacional for breaking the court order but upon discovering what had occurred, he was charged with suspected murder.
