It doesn't matter in what town in Andalucia you live, you always have idiots with small-cyclinder bikes riding around like lunatic, putting people's lives at risk, which is what happened in Granada yesterday.

On Calle Rodrigo in the northern area of the city, a man was doing wheelies and other idiocies despite that peope were telling him to tone it down because children were about.

It was 22.00h when disaster struck because the 19-year-old on the bike hit a 2-year old full on. The child had been in his mother’s arms but she had put him down a moment, which was when the rider, a young Moroccan man who was in the country illegally and had no bike licence, sent the child flying.

The rider fled the scene leaving the toddler with a gash from his mouth to his ear. He was rushed to the Hospital Materno Infantil de Granada.

Fleeing the scene just added to the trouble the rider was in because the Policía Nacional eventually located and arrested him.
