A man in his early 80s died early this morning after jumping from an 8th-floor balcony because he was trapped by flames.
This occurred in the city of Málaga in the area known as Las Delicias. The man, who landed on a parked car and was killed instantly, had burns on his body.

The emergency coordination centre, 112 received an aert around 06.30h this morning. Eyewitnesses said that smoke was pouring out of a flat eight storeys up on Calle Trafalgar.
The coordination centre immediately despatched the city, fire service, an ambulance and the Policía Nacional and Local. The paramedics confirmed that the 81-year-old man was dead and that he had burns on his body.
Apparently, the fire started in the sitting room and the man had jumped from his bedroom balcony. Fire personnel found nobody else in the flat.
