Well, if you live on the coast, you don't need to hear that it has been chucking it down, with flooding in Almuñécar and Salobreña, but Jete got an extra surprise.
Constant and heavy rain had loosened a boulder from the cliff-like border to the main road, which landed on top of somebody’s car. The car had been parked on a pavement.

Some will remember when something similar happened in Otívar a few years back when a parked car was completely crushed by a belligerent boulder.
Back in Jete, the Town Hall warned locals about possible further rockslides, recommending drivers to remove their parked cars between the first junction that leads into the village to after the bar on the same main road.
Speaking of Almuñécar and Salobreña, in the former San Cristóbal looks like a shallow lake, as did the Pontanilla in Salobreña which has a history of flooding; something that was supposed to have been sorted out.
