The Rumble of Kindness:

A Day of Joy at Moto Rock Bar HS: the air at Moto Rock Bar HS, usually thick with the growl of engines, hummed with a different kind of energy on February 27th.

It wasn’t the roar of motorcycles, but the delighted laughter of forty individuals from the Association Taller de la Amistad, a group supporting people with special needs. This day, the bar was transformed into a sanctuary of joy, thanks to the Hermanos de Silencio; a biker group with hearts as vast as the open road.

The theme, Don’t Worry Be Happy, resonated deeply, a balm to the everyday challenges these individuals faced. Elke, the Yoga with Laughter teacher, sparked an infectious wave of giggles, dissolving anxieties and fostering a sense of shared lightness.

Then, the Coro de Artes Libres from Nerja, led by the radiant Ms. Mariko Tanaka, filled the space with music. Their voices, blending in the soulful Siyahamba, the spirited Spanish rendition of Don’t Worry Be Happy, and the emotive Mentiras, created a tapestry of emotion that touched every soul.

Kariko, the Magician of Emotions, wove her magic with playful tricks and genuine warmth, drawing the audience into a world of wonder and laughter. Each smile, each clap, was a testament to the power of connection.

But the true magic lay in the hands of the Hermanos y Hermanas de Silencio. These bikers, known for their powerful machines and camaraderie, revealed a tenderness that shone brighter than chrome. They prepared a lunch that was not just food, but a gesture of love. They served not just plates, but moments of shared humanity.

The rumble of their bikes, usually a symbol of freedom on the open road, became a symbol of freedom within the heart. On this day (27th of February), at Moto Rock Bar HS, the Hermanos de Silencio proved that strength and kindness go hand in hand, and that the greatest journey is the one that leads to the joy of others. It was a day where worries faded, happiness bloomed, and the echo of laughter resonated long after the engines fell silent.

A local community of motorcyclists providing their venue, arranging free food and drink, along with local artists to entertain those less fortunate in our community…what more can be said other than ‘well done to everyone involved!’. What I would like to say about the Moto Rock Bar HS is that there is never any language barriers and it is always welcoming, don’t let the biker image put you off, they are nice people.
