Work is being carried out on the Camino de Chite to widen it where possible, especially on the bends.
Work began on the 17th of last month between the village church and the Casa de La Cultura in Talará, lasting until Friday the 21st of February.

This required occasionally cutting off access to vehicles without having to close it off completely during that week.
Work began on Monday the 24th but this required closing the road off completely from 09.30h to 13.30h and then from 15.30h to 17.30h. This situation will continue until the end of April.
The Mayor of Lecrín, Pedro Titos, explained that the work was to improve the stretches of road that caused most problems.
He also said that they were well aware that the area was in the middle of harvesting the orange crops, which is why they chose the closure times that would affect farmers the least.
