Almuñécar Councillor for Commerce, Lucía González, handed out the top prizes for the Concurso de Escaparate Navideño, which is a competition for the best Christmas shop-window display.
The First Prize when to Eileen Salón on Calle Granada and the Second Prize to Tropimueble on Avenida Costa del Sol. The Third Prize was won by Real 5 Botica Natural on Calle Real 5.
The three prize winners won Christmas hampers, but there were also other especial mentions for Pequeño Baúl on Calle Montevideo 1, Vintage on Avenida de Cala 11 and Lienzo Blanco on the Paseo Cotobro.
A very especial mention also went to Tropical Beauty on Calle Cerveteri 4, “for their incredible handmade decorations; for their effort and love for details which could not go unnoticed even though they did not officially participate,” said the Councillor.
She concluded by thanking all the shops that participated and added, “You are the soul of our community.”
