No, you weren't imagining it; there were several dozen Guardia Civil motorcycles streaming through Almuñécar on Monday the 25th.
Those 77 bikes and their riders came from Merida’s Guardia Civil Training School for Motorcycle Officers and have been touring the province, together with support vehicles, such as a mobile workshop and even an ambulance.
They are the riders and instructors for the IV and VII Cursos de la Especialidad de Tráfico, modalidad de Dirección nivel A, carrying out practical training, part of which is how to give somebody a heart attack when they look in their rearview mirror.
In fact, after setting off from the training school in Mérida (Badajoz) they cruised through Córdoba, Granada, Málaga and Sevilla over two days covering 911 kilometres.
