The Granada fire service was called upon to put out a fire on Calle Rioja in Maracena (Granada metropolitan area) and it was a routine operation or so they thought.
Nobody was hurt, but that doesn’t mean that there were not victims because the homeowner had several cats. They were trapped and by the time that the fire personnel got to them, they were all dead, except one.

That took the cat out onto the street, gave it oxygen and CPR but despite their combined efforts, it also died.
Soldiers risk their lives in combat, but they are there to kill; fire personnel risk their lives tackling fire, but they are there to save lives… even those of cats.
