Close Call

The baby that fell into a community swimming pool in Almuñécar and was pulled out, receiving CPR, is now back home after a stay in Hospital under observation.

The incident had taken place on Sunday around five in the afternoon in a community pool along Playa Velilla.

When the 1-year-old was pulled out, she showed all the signs of having drowned. However, the paramedics managed to bring the child round, before rushing her to Hospital Santa Ana.

The Ideal newspaper first published information obtained from the Almuñécar Policía Local that stated that the baby had died. However, soon after Ideal was told by 061 (ambulance service) that this was not the case, so it immediately corrected this error in a later article.
