A woman who had just fled from her home ran into a foot patrol of the Políca Local in the city of Málaga.

She explained that her husband had beaten her with a leather belt and slapped her in front of two children who were in the flat at the time. The two minors (her daughter and a nephew) were with her when she found the officers.

 The incident occurred on the 19th of July around 23.00h in the area of the city known as La Palmilla.

The officers accompanied her to her home and knocked on the door. The 40-year-old, aggressor opened it with a belt wrapped around his hand, which he tried to hide as soon as he saw the officers with his wife.

He was immediately arrested and taken into custody, charged with gender violence.

Editorial comment: he should be flogged with his own belt once a week during his time in prison in order to become aquainted with what being on the other end is like.
