The metropolitan bus service in Granada has taken on four, new, hybrid buses to be used exclusively on the city-airport run.
The buses, capable of carry 67 passengers sitting and 45 standing, will run from two hours before the first flight until one hour after the last flight out of the airport. These buses will also have an electric ramp for easy access and alighting and 10 USB ports so that passengers can recharge their mobiles.
Furthermore, the Consorcio de Transportes has made sure that all bus stops where this bus passes will have the airport clearly marked. Information panels will also show what time the next bus from the airport is expected and the time for the next one to the airport.
The route where the airport bus stops is: the roundabout in front of El Palacio de Congresos, Acera del Darro (just past Corte Inglés), Gran Vía de Colón (in front of The Cathedral), Gran Vía 54 (El Americano), Avenida de Constitución (Hotel Cóndor), Plaza San Isidro, Estación de Autobuses, Plaza Europa and Avenida de Andalucía 4.
The return route is: Avenida de Andalucía 4 (in front of Parque Almunia), Periodista José María Carulla, Estación de Autobuses, Francisco Pradilla, Avenida de Constitución 3 (Hotel Tent Granada), Avenida de la Constitución 4 (opposite Hotel Cóndor), Catedral, Acera del Darro (opposite the Fuente de las Batallas) ending in front of Palacio de Congresos.
La línea 245 Granada-Aeropuerto transported 179,665 passengers last year.
