It was announced on the 19th of last month that the Night Market returns this month, starting at 20.00h each evening.

The location will be as before on the Vial Verde given its ample space and access and parking. The Vial Verde is the new, strip-like park running from next Parque de la Fuente and running parallel with the return, beach road.

The Councillor for Mercados y Mercadillos, Plácido Leyva said, “This market is on of the summer that Salobreña counts upon, as it attracts a multitude of visitors from other municipalities on the Costa Tropical, making it an important tourist magnet, which benefits the whole municipality.”

The summer, night markets goes back to the 80s and had as many as 70 stalls by 2017, when it was held next to the sports pavilion on the opposite side of the main road.

Even in 2020, the year of the lockdown, there was a much reduced night market during the summer with greater spacing between the few stalls that there were. It was also the year that it was moved to the Vial Verde.
