This happened in the early hours of Monday in Ogíjares, which is within the metropolitan area of the city of Granada.

The 112 call centre received an alert around 01.50h to say that a car had collided with the main entrance to a property next to roundabout access to the El Éden shopping centre.

Owing to the force of the impact, the upper structure fell down onto the car, momentarily trapping the two occupants. However, they managed to get out and exit the scene of the accident before the emergency services arrived.

Editorial comment: the owner of the car will be easy enough to track down, who might avoid responsibility if he or she claims that it had been stolen.
