A young man lost his life in the sea off the city of Malaga this weekend.

The incident occurred Saturday evening, off Playa del Peñón del Cuervo when the 30-year-old victim got into difficulty after being caught by a current. 

There was a heavy surf running and the current and wind swept him onto the rocky area around the Peñón. 

For this reason, pending an autopsy, the police have not ruled out that he was knocked unconscious after colliding with one of them.

According to eyewitnesses, it was his own group of friends with whom he had gone to the beach that pulled him out of the water, where the ambulance paramedics attempted PCR for over an hours, but in vain.
