You might have noticed that since the 22nd the steps leading up to the Peñon are closed off. This is because they are changing the paving.

You aren’t able to park, either between the Chiringuito Calabré (which appears to be closed down) and the Chiringuito Vizcaya, for the same reason; i.e., the works going on.

The Town Hall says that access will be restricted up to the 30th of May.

The Councillor for the Department of Maintenance and Public Works, Francisco Rodríguez, apologises for the inconvenience caused, explaining that it is work that must be completed before the arrival of the summer.

Traffic isn’t that affected, as although you can’t go straight on from the Paseo de Prieto Moreno, you can go past the Spar Shop along Calle Bikini until you get to Avenida Europa and then turn left.
