The biker killed in the accident on the Canyon Road below Vélez Benaudalla on the 18th was from that village.
The 35-year-old victim after colliding with a crash barrier had suffered a pulmonary-cardiac arrest but paramedics managed to restore his heart and breathing before moving him.
However, this was to no avail as despite a rapid transfer to hospital by helicopter he succumbed to his injuries.
His companion on the second bike is from Motril. He had been unable to avoid the wreckage of the first bike lying on the road surface, resulting in his coming off and sliding along the tarmac sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.
